Pippa Middleton lookalike: Satirical photographer Alison Jackson has finally found her

Add to My Stories Share

It is a scene familiar to any woman. A quick glance over the shoulder at the mirror to check there are no wardrobe malfunctions and to ponder the question: Does my bum look big in this?

What is surprising is that Pippa Middleton should be prey to these same insecurities. After all, this is the woman who became a global sensation after the Royal Wedding. With her white gown showing off her pert bottom, Pippa was quickly dubbed Her Royal Hotness.

But look again at our photographs and study them carefully because all is not as it seems.

Mirror image: With her glossy hair and shy smile, Sarah's uncanny resemblance to Pippa Middleton is captured perfectly by photographer Alison Jackson

This is not really the Duchess of Cambridges younger sister admiring herself the stunning brunette is Sarah Carrington, and the picture is the work of satirical photographer Alison Jackson, best known for her snatched pictures of celebrity lookalikes in amusing situations.

The artist travelled the world in her search for a Pippalike and was delighted to discover the 32-year-old, a speech therapist at St Thomas Hospital in London.

Ive been looking for the perfect Pippa ever since she burst on to the scene, Jackson said. She has been one of the hardest people for me to cast. But when I saw Sarah, I knew she was ideal and she has proved to be very successful in front of the camera even though this is all new to her. In certain angles she is Pippas absolute double. The hair and make-up are just perfect and she has Pippas shy smile down to a tee.

The real rear: Pippa Middleton the day after her older sister Kate married Prince William

At 5ft 4in, Miss Carrington is shorter than statuesque Pippa, but their uncanny facial resemblance prompted her boyfriend to send her photograph to the Susan Scott lookalike agency in London.

My friends were all telling me that I looked like Pippa and lots of people texted me during the Royal Wedding to say they thought there was a startling resemblance but I could never see it, Miss Carrington told The Mail on Sunday during our exclusive photoshoot. During the summer I was shopping at Waitrose with my boyfriend and the woman at the checkout thought I was Pippa. Thats when my boyfriend decided to send a picture to the lookalike agency.

The first job I did was for Alison and it was great fun, if a little nerve-racking. Its very different from my day job. I have told a few people at work what I was doing and they are all very pleased for me. The truth is I didnt really pay much attention to Pippa or the Royals until now.

I knew who she was because Id read about her in Tatler, but I never imagined being paid to look like her. Its all a bit surreal.

Like Pippa, Londoner Miss Carrington has an enviable figure, which she attributes to running she has completed several marathons and Pilates. She is now earning 500 a day as a Pippa lookalike and appears in Jacksons book Exposed!, published later this month.

In one risque shot for the book, Jackson re-creates a balcony scene from the Royal Wedding. Prince Harry impersonator Eliot Gibson, in full military uniform, waves to the crowds with one hand while patting Sarahs bottom with the other.

Its a great shot and very funny, said Jackson, 41. The idea is to make people laugh and everything is shot very tastefully. I had designer Lenka Padysakova make a replica of Pippas bridesmaid dress and it was very tight to deliberately accentuate Sarahs curves. She is not an actress so the fact that she was able to work the came! ra so we ll was impressive.

A second image shows Pippa having a beauty firming treatment on her famous rear beneath the headline Weapons of Mass Distraction.

While Jackson is clearly delighted to have found her Pippalike, she very nearly used someone else for her book. Earlier this year, she was sent photos of an 18-year-old student from San Diego who fitted the bill.

She had a good face and Pippas hair and she was due to come to London to be shot. Then the riots happened and she wasnt happy about coming. In a funny way, thank goodness for the riots.

Uncanny: Sarah, who works at Guys hospital as a speech therapist, has many similarities to Miss Middleton
