'Doodle 4 Google' Contest Names 7-Year-Old Youngest Winner Ever

This year, 107,000 applicants submitted original designs with hopes of winning Google's annual "Doodle 4 Google" contest. But it was Mateo Lopez, 7, who claimed the title as the contest's youngest winner ever.

The second grader appeared on "Today" this morning to reveal his space-themed design, which he says was inspired by Neil Armstrong.

"We can all relate to the aspiration of being in space," Melissa Mayer, vice president of Google consumer products, tells the news show of why the design was chosen.
